Her Nickname is Ms. Fire. Her Zodiac sign is Capricon. She attended  Sardar Patel Vidyalaya later she joined  St. Stephen’s College, in delhi from where she did her Diploma in Social Communication Media

She was featured in Virgin Mobile commercial ,which was kind of funny.

Initially she did modelling for various Brands and decided to try her hands in Acting so she switched to Theater.Soon she started getting work as side Actress and earned name for herself in very little time.. Career

She started her career with Modeling and later started working in theaters and got the chance to train under Barry John. Later in 2008, she got the opportunity to appear in  Oye lucky! Lucky Oye! in which she appeared in Supporting Role of DOlly but surely got praised for her performance.

Later in 2012, she got the opportunity of her lifetime, and got the opportunity to be casted in Anurag Kashyap directed movie Gangs of Wasseypur, the film was a humongous hit and her prominent role as Nagma was widely appreciated by everyone. And she started getting noticed in the Industry.

Her next film, fukrey was also a huge hit and her role as Bholi Punjaban gathered wide appreciation from Everyone. But in 2017 with Movie Fukrey Returns she completely stole the Limelight from Lead Actors. She got such High Potential.

In 2013, She appeared in Goliyo Ke Raas Leela: Raam Leela , movie turned out to be a super hit and so do her acting and Character in the film.

In 2015, the scored the lead role in the Film titled Masaan, this film got a marvelous response from the public . And also received  five-minute long standing ovation at the Cannes International Festival. She played the role of a a girl in ‘morality crisis’ and she got widely appreciated for that.

In 2016, she appeared in film sabarjit, the film didn’t got  great response, but her role of Sukhpreet got nominated at Filmfare Award for Best Actress.
